Once again, British knitwear specialist CASH CA offers a mixture of style and comfort with its spring/summer collection for 2013. Japanese designer Kazuki Kuraishi created some pretty nice clothes from shirts and pants to jackets which balance function with aesthetics in a unique way. Soft tones, lightweight fabrics and relaxed cuts were used to create the typical CASH CA look.

After ETQ, we have another new Dutch brand in our portfolio for you: Daily Paper, also from the capital of our neighbor the Netherlands.

Daily Paper was founded in 2008 and describes itself as a street-couture label. Their focus lies in the design of contemporary mens fashion apparel that considers quality, culture and fine detailing. The guys are inspired by their own African heritage and their passion for authentic casual wear – and are also good friends of SOTO.

“Fashion – what a term. People have a various way of seeing fashion and a various meaning of how to dress. And thank God for that! Even though they sometimes seem boring…

And from time to time I’m boring, too. Dressing in the all black way from head to toe. Some would say that boring is sometimes good, and sometimes I like to dress boring. It’s easy – and some would even call it classy.
Some other times I’m crazy. Dressing in a colourfully full print way, playing with patterns, colours and accessories. For the “Staff Picks”, I went crazy. Playing with all that: a patterned shirt by Engineered Garments, the light blue shorts by YMC and the – for me unusual – Borsalino Panama straw hat.

As you can see now, what was really missing to this summer outfit was a bit more of a blue sky and some leafs on the trees. Fortunately, the summer is finally here. So… go out and find your own crazy outfit. And with a few click you can buy my entire outfit. Easy. Awesome. And everything but boring!

SOTO Like: Raised by Wolves S/S 13

Though this lookbook is more doggy style – it’s still all ‘Raised by Wolves‘: the Montreal-based brand has just released this film-shot lookbook for their Spring/Summer 2013 line with not only human but also animalistic models in it. The new collection includes some light hoodies, tees, hats, button-downs and snapbacks. One of our faves? The tribute cap for rapper Big L (worn by the bulldog).

We are busy shooting the stuff for you – right now, you can buy it at our store in Torstraße – or you wait a bit and get it online, too.

We had a blast at our SOTO Summer Party with Girls Girls Girls from Paris, Lee Stuart from Amsterdam and you, guys who made the night unforgettable.

SOTO Exclusive: Le Berlinois x Saint Noir

Sun and warm temperatures after such a long winter period, even we were getting sentimental and into a ‘Flower Power‘ kind of mood.

So… when Berlin newcomer label Saint Noir worked together with us on our collaboration tee, we couldn‘t help but print as many flowers on it as possible and put our love for our store location on it, too.

The result: the exclusive Le Berlinois x Saint Noir Summer Tee limited to 50 pieces worldwide and only available at our store on Torstraße 72 and online here – and, of course, these wonderful pictures of the SOTO crew wearing them.

The lovely “Girls Girls Girls” DJ crew from Paris is hungry for some R&B, Hip-Hop and House beats and will make you sweat together with our man Lee Stuart at Picknick for a great celebration.

Better late than never! That’s at least what we thought shooting the current summer styles from SOTO in collaboration with Highsnobiety all over Berlin a few weeks ago.

Surrounded by ‘our’ city, we’re presenting our favorite pieces, brands and combinations for a great season. As usual, SOTO prefers a mix of classic essentials, timeless fashion and the latest trends: Scandinavian faves like Our Legacy, Acne and Norse Projects meet German newcomer label A Kind Of Guise and designer wear by master Dries van Noten.

A big thanks goes out to photographer Björn Jonas, his assistant Kim Bode, stylist Christof Post, hair and make up queen Christiane Buchholz and our models Victor from Beatrice Models Management & Maximilian and Nicholas from Indeed Model Management.

SOTO New In: Common Affairs from Sweden

COMMON by COMMON AFFAIRS is new Swedish label at SOTO. Founded in 2012 and based in Malmö, Sweden’s multicultural and creative hot spot, Common Affairs’ aim is to propose a new take on sartorial national heritage, mixing Swedish minimalism with international influences.

The current spring/summer collection 2013 is all about ‘Wilderness’ which is also why the looks were shot in the forest and the prints also carry an animal design.
