There is always a first time. For everything. The first time you get a tattoo. The first time you let hair grow. The first time you have a picture taken. The first time you print it on posters. And that is also the first time for a Larry Clark exhibition in Germany. However, the pictures made by the extraordinary photographer don't seem to be about any first times. Shooting amphetamine, giving blowjobs and other 'situations' are only a few of the themes here. Provocative but in a good and not the known annoying way - that is this what we call a good one. 'Teenage Lust' is only one of the collections which are presented in this exhibition at the C/O museum in Berlin Mitte. This name already discribes what most of the pictures are about: a mixture of wasted beauty, sex and drugs. No wonder that persons under 18 have to be accompanied by an adult: be prepared for addicts, nude teens and huge genital shots. From the 60s till now, photographer Larry Clarks (also admired as producer in the 90s lead movie 'Kids' leads us through excitement and rough lifestyle in over 200 pieces of his work - against all moral concepts. Hurry up if you want to visit - the exhibtion will only be there till August, 12. Check out C/O Berlin's website for more information.
